CareerGuide.com started with a simple observation: Indian students make the biggest decision of their lives — what to become — with the least information. Relatives' opinions, marks, and guesswork.

Over 15 years, more than 500 million questions have been answered on CareerGuide.com. Today 2,500+ counsellors use these assessments with their students, and parents and counsellors rate them 4.98 out of 5.

Built by someone who's read a lot of report cards.

Surabhi Dewra

Founder & CEO, CareerGuide.com

Surabhi Dewra studied Electrical and Electronics Engineering at BITS Pilani, then joined the semiconductor industry to design wireless products. Surabhi chose to build for students instead of chips.

Surabhi volunteered with NGOs in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh to understand how young people think and what their schooling was missing. Those experiences shaped CareerGuide.com — founded to make career decisions scientific instead of accidental — and Surabhi still uses them as a counsellor.

Surabhi has worked in career guidance since 2011 and appears regularly on national TV to talk about careers, education and women in leadership. Surabhi is also the reason there is nothing to pass or fail in these assessments — IQ and 21st Century Life Skills scores are compared only with students of the child's own class in India.
