⏰ Why Class 8

What this age needs

The pattern is forming

Middle school is when styles and interests stabilise — the first trustworthy signal.

Marks alone mislead

A dip usually means method mismatch, not ability. This shows which one.

Your child sees strengths

Their version is encouraging language only — never a rank or comparison.

🎯 What it measures

Written for a Class-8 mind

🤝 Collaboration

Working with others

💡 Critical thinking

Working through problems

🎨 Creativity

Original ideas

🌊 Adaptability

Handling change

📖 The report

⚙️ How it works

How does the Class 8 21st Century Life Skills Assessment work?

The Class 8 paper has 56 questions — real situations, best-answer checks and honest “that’s me” questions. Each one lands in one of four skill areas:

How it works

  • 🧠 Cognitive Skills. How your child thinks things through — decisions, problems, and checking what they hear before believing it.
  • 🤝 Interpersonal Skills. How they work with people — teaming up, leading, adjusting when plans change, getting ideas across.
  • 💪 Intrapersonal Skills. How they handle themselves — empathy, bouncing back, starting things and sticking with them.
  • 💻 Digital Skills. How smartly they live online — spotting fake content, finding trustworthy information, staying safe.

Each area holds four skills — 16 in all, each scored 0 to 100. The strongest area becomes your child's strongest area, named in plain words.

🎯 Why this class

Why a Class 8 student should take the 21st Century Life Skills Assessment

Class 9 is next.

Flexibility & Adaptability and Resilience & Coping decide how the board years feel — Class 8 is the last quiet year to work on them.

Study habits set this year.

Initiative and Persistence & Grit are scored separately, because starting something and continuing it are two different problems.

Opinions start coming from a feed.

Media Literacy and Critical Thinking get real scores at 13, which is when the feed starts doing some of the thinking.

You walk away with: the strongest of the four skill areas named in plain words, all 16 skills on one amber-to-green scale, one strength and one focus area, six growth activities sized for Class 8, a page for parents and one for the teacher — and a certificate with a verification code.

🗓️ When & why

When should a Class 8 student take the 21st Century Life Skills Assessment?

Does this sound familiar?

👨‍👩‍👧A parent

They want to run for house captain — and freeze the moment they have to speak to the class.

Leadership, communication and initiative are scored separately. The report shows which one is ready and what to practise for the one that isn't.

🧑‍🏫A counsellor / teacher

Club leads and house captains get picked next month — and I'm choosing on marks and volume.

Leadership and collaboration scores for the whole class let you pick on skill, and give quieter students an evidence-based chance.

🎒The student

You're on four platforms now and no one's checking. You mostly know what you're doing. Mostly.

Information literacy, tech communication and safety each get a score. See which one is solid and which one is running on luck.

The right moments

🌤️ The calm before Class 9

This is the last low-pressure year — work on a focus area now, before the workload jumps.

🚩 First leadership roles

House captain, club lead, class monitor — the leadership and initiative scores say who's ready.

🌐 Online independence peaks

More platforms, less supervision. The media-literacy and safety scores keep it honest.

Why now, not later: This is the last low-pressure year. A focus area worked on now is one Class 9 doesn't have to carry.

Once a year is enough. You're compared only with your own last score — never with classmates.

🤔 Parents ask

Class 8 Life Skills assessment — straight answers

How many questions are in the Class 8 Life Skills assessment?

56, in four short sections — how you think, you and people, you and yourself, your digital world. They are real situations (what would you do?), best-answer checks and honest “that’s me” ratings. The first 14 are free with no card; the rest unlock with the full assessment.

Is the Class 8 Life Skills assessment timed?

There is a friendly timer of about 42 minutes (45 seconds a question) that pauses between sections. If it runs out the assessment does not stop — the student just gets a gentle “wrap up” nudge.

Can a Class 8 student take the Life Skills assessment alone?

Yes — it is built to be taken alone on a phone or laptop. Progress saves automatically, so it can be finished in a second sitting if needed. There is nothing to prepare and nothing to revise.

Are there right and wrong answers? Is there a score?

No wrong answers, and no marks or ranks. The report gives a skills strongest skill area named in plain words, an overall level from Emerging to Advanced, and a 16-skill wheel — a growth snapshot, not a grade.

What does the Class 8 report contain?

Your archetype and overall level, the 21st Century Life Skills & Learning Wheel across 4 areas and 16 skills, a close-up of each skill, a growth plan of activities, a short note each for parents and teachers, and a downloadable PDF with a certificate.

How often should a Class 8 student retake it?

Once a year. The app keeps one result per class year; take it again next year and the report adds a skills-journey chart showing what has changed.
